Coherent World Consciousness Has Begun

Signs of Decreased Negative Global Trends
To Appear within the Next Few Months

 the good news of increased positivity and peace in every nation”

(February 1, 2006) His Holiness Maharishi Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed this week that his global peace program is now under way and will soon produce clear signs of increased positive trends in global events.

“For the past few weeks I have been telling the world press that ‘the arrow has left the bow and will soon hit the target’—that my program to create coherent world consciousness has already started in one place—India—and that very soon it will begin in every other country,” Maharishi said. “A new fortune is dawning for all mankind.”

Maharishi called on the world press to report back to him the good news, including trends towards increased coherence and harmony in world events, improved government, greater affluence, better health, and improved education in every country.

Maharishi’s global peace program comes after 50 years of bringing
the Transcendental Meditation program to millions of individuals worldwide

Maharishi’s announcement comes after 50 years of bringing the scientifically proven benefits of the Transcendental Meditation program to millions of individuals throughout the world. Now, Maharishi said, he is producing the same effect on a global scale—bringing the benefits of his program to the whole world family.

Maharishi’s global peace program calls for establishing in every country groups of several hundred to several thousand coherence-creating experts (the number of experts depends upon the population size of the country). These experts will practice the Transcendental Meditation technique and Yogic Flying to enliven within their own self-referral Transcendental Consciousness the all-pervading Unified Field of Natural Law to create coherent national consciousness—the basis of invincibility for the country.
 

Maharishi said that such groups can easily be established in every country, including in schools where students can practice Yogic Flying in groups for 20 to 30 minutes a day. “Then national consciousness will always remain coherent and positive. There will be affluence, joy, happiness, satisfaction, and bliss everywhere. There will be no conflicts, no disturbance, no suffering, no problems,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s program to create permanent world peace
has been verified by extensive scientific research

In response to a press question, Maharishi cited the Meissner Effect in physics to explain how groups of coherence-creating experts can prevent negative trends in the nation. The Meissner Effect is a fundamental principle in nature revealing that internally coherent systems are naturally resistant to disruption, and spontaneously repel disruptive external influences, while incoherent systems are easily penetrated by disorder from outside. “We have a simple, proven formula to create integrated national consciousness so that no negative trends arise in the nation,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation and global peace programs have been verified through more than 600 scientific studies conducted at 250 independent research institutions in 33 countries during the past 35 years.

“Sovereignty is a laughingstock in the world”

Maharishi said his global peace plan comes at a time when no nation in the world can claim to be either safe or sovereign. “Sovereignty has no meaning in the world today—it is a fraud, a laughingstock,” Maharishi said. “Countries with more money can buy countries with less money and dictate the terms. As long as every nation does not rise on its own to true sovereignty in invincibility, then permanent world peace will always remain a question mark. Once world consciousness is integrated and every country is invincible, no weakness or problems will ever arise anywhere—either inside or outside the country.”

“A new time of affluence and all good is dawning”

Maharishi explained that it may take a few months for the peace-creating groups to be established, but emphasized that the destiny of all mankind will soon change dramatically for the better. “This is what we proclaimed when we welcomed Sat Yuga—Heaven on Earth—a few months ago,” Maharishi said. “A new time of all good, all affluence, and all evolutionary trends for all of life is dawning—a new time of enlightenment for every individual, invincibility for every nation, and permanent peace on earth. The world press will soon have the good fortune to report on all the good news rising everywhere in the world.”

Establish a Group of Yogic Flyers
to Create Coherence in the
Collective Consciousness of the Nation

 “To improve the quality of government, first improve the quality of collective consciousness of the nation—there is no other way”

 
(February 15, 2006) His Holiness Maharishi Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week revealed his formula to make every government successful: Improve administration by improving the quality of national consciousness. And for that, Maharishi said, the formula is simple: Establish in each country a group of peace-promoting Yogic Flyers to create coherence in the collective consciousness of the nation.

“A government is governed by the quality of national consciousness,” Maharishi said. “Whatever is the quality of national consciousness—coherent or incoherent, wise or foolish—that will be the level of the performance of the government. To improve the government, we must improve the quality of the collective consciousness of the nation—there is no other way.”

Maharishi delivered his message during his February 8 global news conference, which was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. Maharishi’s next news conferences will be held on February 15 and 16 (see page 3 for details).

Maharishi said he reached his conclusion after considering why governments had not yet adopted his program to raise their nations to invincibility and create permanent world peace. “A government is not in a position to do anything different than what it is already doing because the actions of a government are motivated by the collective consciousness of the nation,” Maharishi said.

That is why, Maharishi said, he is no longer wasting his time with governments. Instead, he is focused entirely on implementing policies and programs to create positivity, coherence, and harmony in collective consciousness. “Then, automatically, whatever government rules the nation—whether it is the same government or a new government—it will rule with positivity, coherence, and harmony,” Maharishi said.
 

Maharishi to create coherence in the collective consciousness
of the whole world family

Maharishi emphasized that his target is not just one country but every country. “Our objective is to improve the collective consciousness of the whole world family—and we are accomplishing this by establishing in every country a group of a few hundred to a few thousand Yogic Flyers,” Maharishi said. (The number of Yogic Flyers depends upon the population size of the country.) Maharishi also said he is establishing large numbers of Vedic Pandits in India, who will recite the Vedic sounds—the reverberations of Total Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe—to create an intensified influence of coherence in the whole of world consciousness.

Yogic Flyers enliven the field of consciousness
to create coherent collective consciousness

In response to a press question about how groups of Yogic Flyers create coherence in national consciousness, Maharishi said that Yogic Flying enlivens in individual and collective consciousness Total Natural Law—Transcendental Consciousness—which is at the basis of the infinite diversity of the universe. “These groups of Yogic Flyers will raise the collective consciousness of the nation to be on a par with cosmic intelligence—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “They will be true patriots in great service to the country. They will create coherent national consciousness, which will automatically inspire the government to fulfill its parental role for the country—to promote peace, happiness, and affluence for everyone.”

To perpetuate coherence in world consciousness, Maharishi announced that he is establishing schools, colleges, and universities in every country to bring the knowledge of Total Natural Law to every generation. “The younger generation will rise to enlightenment and radiate that enlightenment to improve the quality of collective consciousness of the whole world,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s approach has been validated by 50 years of experience of teaching the Transcendental Meditation technique to millions of people throughout the world, and by more than 600 scientific studies conducted in 250 independent universities and research institutes in 33 countries during the past 35 years.

“A bright destiny is within the grasp of human life today”

Maharishi concluded by emphasizing that his target of a bright destiny for mankind is not a mere hope for a better time in the far-off future. “It is within the grasp of human life today—right now—in this scientific age. Take it now and enjoy—or don’t take it and continue to suffer,” said Maharishi, who then added: “However, our strength is that no one wants to suffer. Everyone wants to enjoy—everyone wants more happiness, more affluence, and more peace. So we will fulfill that desire of the people by creating coherence in the collective consciousness of every nation and the whole world.”

In response to a press question, Maharishi said the coherence-creating group in each nation will include local experts who will be trained in Vedic technologies of consciousness, including Transcendental Meditation, its advanced techniques and Yogic Flying. These experts will enliven Total Natural Law within their own self-referral Transcendental Consciousness and create coherence in the collective consciousness of the whole population.

The coherence-creating group will also include Vedic Pandits from India who are expert in Yogic Flying as well as in Yagya and Grahashanti—the Vedic science of sound that creates highly integrated national consciousness and prevents any negativity from coming back to the nation due to its wrong past actions.

The influence of Vedic words is not limited to time and space

“Vedic sounds are the reverberations of the Unified Field—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers the universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “These sounds are the words—or ‘structuring dynamics’—of this transcendental field of life. The influence of Vedic words is not limited to time and space. The coherent influence of one Vedic word pronounced from the level of the transcendent from anywhere in the world will spread frictionlessly and instantly to create coherence everywhere in the world.”

Maharishi said the Vedic Pandits will utilize this “miraculous” ability of Vedic words—along with Yogic Flying—to quickly create an intensified influence of coherence in national and world consciousness.

“Government Should Not Sacrifice Its Youth
to Defend the Nation”

(February 27, 2006) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week offered to every government the complete knowledge and proven programs to achieve what militaries and politicians have failed to achieve: Invincible Defense. Maharishi’s approach calls for establishing in each nation a small group of Yogic Flyers who will enliven Total Natural Law—the light of God—and create a high level of integrated collective consciousness, which is the basis of invincibility for the nation and permanent peace on earth.

“This is the same message that has been propounded by the wise throughout the ages,” Maharishi said. “I know it is real—but maybe the world doesn’t. That is why I thought I should make this offer to every government.”

Maharishi’s offer came during his inauguration of the “Parliament on Invincible Defense,” which was held at the World Capital of Peace in the Brahmasthan—the geographical center—of India on February 25. Maharishi addressed the Parliament live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. The Parliament on Invincible Defense is the sixth in a series of twelve Parliamentary sessions focusing on all areas of society during the 48-day Parliament of World Peace.

Invincible Defense is based on the Constitution of the Universe

Maharishi said the basis of Invincible Defense is the Constitution of the Universe—the Unified Field—the unmanifest, all-powerful field of invincibility in nature, which creates and maintains the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order. “With the blessings of the eternal tradition of Vedic masters, we have the technologies to make any nation invincible by enlivening the Constitution of the Universe in individual and collective consciousness. This is Invincible Defense in the light of Total Natural Law—the light of God—which cannot be stopped or changed by anyone,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi likened his offer of invincibility for every nation to that of an engineer who has the knowledge to establish an electrical powerhouse—and who informs the people that it is no longer necessary to live in the dark. “The engineer proclaims, ‘Take this power line and live in light, today,’” Maharishi said. “Like that, every nation has been living in utter darkness. But now we are proclaiming loudly to every government, ‘Invincible Defense is available for your nation. Take it and enjoy invincibility and absolute freedom on the basis of Total Natural Law.’”

Maharishi said his offer of Invincible Defense is open to all existing governments—but warned that if they are slow to respond, his offer will be extended to their opposition parties. “Please take this knowledge,” Maharishi told the government leaders. “But if you don’t, then your opposition will take it, and you will be out of office in the next election.”

The youth don’t have to die for the nation with Invincible Defense

Maharishi dismissed as “suicidal” the military approach to defense in every country. “You want to defend your country, so you send your youth off to die for the nation. But when you sacrifice the youth, for whom are you defending the nation?” Maharishi said.

Maharishi said the real power of defense will not be found in the ability to die for the security of the nation, but rather in the ability to prevent the birth of an enemy. “Now, with Invincible Defense, every country can prevent the birth of an enemy—and then the youth will live a long life in health, wealth, and wisdom for the nation,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi also had strong words for leaders who promote divisive political parties within their own countries—which tear apart the integrity of the nation and make it vulnerable to takeover by foreign powers.

Global Country of World Peace is adopting
24 countries to make each nation invincible

To remedy the “dilapidated” situation in the world today, Maharishi announced that his Global Country of World Peace is adopting 24 countries to raise each nation to invincibility. A small group of a few hundred to a few thousand Yogic Flyers is now being established in each country to create integrated collective consciousness. (The number of Yogic Flyers in each country depends upon the size of the population of the country.) “It will just take a few months to train these groups and create integrated collective consciousness,” Maharishi said. “Then problems in the nation will disappear, as darkness disappears with the onset of light.”

Maharishi emphasized that more and more countries will soon be adopted until every nation is enjoying Heaven on Earth.

Invincible Defense has been documented by extensive scientific research

Maharishi said the proof of the power of Invincible Defense can also be seen in Yogic Flying, which, Maharishi explained, demonstrates control over the power of gravity. “The heavy weight of the body lifts up during Yogic Flying by a gentle impulse of thought from the level of self-referral Transcendental Consciousness—the Unified Field, the field of gravity,” Maharishi said.

Establishing schools, colleges, and universities to offer
Invincible Defense to students in every country

Maharishi said schools, colleges, and universities are now being opened in every country to bring Vedic knowledge, including Invincible Defense and Yogic Flying, to one-quarter of the nation’s population—the students.  “Then automatically, a high level of integration will prevail in national consciousness, and the trends and tendencies of the individual and society will always be in the direction of the evolutionary power of Natural Law,” Maharishi said.

Ringing the bell of invincibility for every nation

With the inauguration of the Parliament of Invincible Defense, Maharishi said he is “ringing the bell of invincibility” for every nation and permanent peace on earth. “A fortunate new time of peace and enlightenment is dawning for the whole world family,” Maharishi said. “The light of Total Natural Law—the light of God—will always shine in the life of everyone born on earth. Religion will be fulfilled, science will be fulfilled—every area of knowledge will be fulfilled through Invincible Defense and the whole of Vedic knowledge.”

Maharishi concluded by emphasizing that he is not doing anything new. “For 50 years, we have spoken about the benefits of this knowledge for the individual. Now, we are talking about the benefits for the nation and the world,” Maharishi said. “The knowledge is not new—only people thought it was new because it had been forgotten. But now that the knowledge has been remembered, I thought we should bring it to everyone in the world—because why should people suffer when it is their birthright to enjoy?”
